Bluecoat Beechdale Academy
Bluecoat Beechdale Academy, under the umbrella of the Archway Learning Trust, recently secured £1.1 million in funding to enhance its heating system through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. Recognising the need for a more sustainable and energy-efficient solution, the academy aimed to replace its ageing gas boilers with modern air source heat pumps. This initiative aligned with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero's vision for cleaner, more cost-effective, and renewable energy sources in the public sector.
Learie Constantine Community Centre
The Learie Constantine Community Centre project, valued at £13.6 million, involved the demolition of an existing building to pave the way for the construction of 26 new homes. These homes, comprising one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, were meticulously designed to meet the diverse needs of the community. EMS was entrusted with the critical task of providing full plumbing services for the fit-out of these residential units.
Fallsbrook Road
Meadow House at 157 Fallsbrook Road is a 29-unit residential scheme located in Streatham, South London. The project was acquired by the developers from receivers in April 2024, after the previous developer had completed the construction up to the concrete frame. Manor Investments is now overseeing the completion of the apartments, with practical completion scheduled for May 2025. Designed by Hives Architects, the redevelopment includes both a two-storey rear extension and a roof extension, carefully balancing modern expansion with the site’s original character.
Preston Barracks
Preston Barracks is a landmark redevelopment project in Brighton, aimed at transforming a historic site into a vibrant mixed-use community. The development includes residential units, commercial spaces, and public areas, all requiring state-of-the-art mechanical and plumbing systems. Roberts Gallagher Construction (RGC), the main contractor, appointed EMS as a trusted subcontractor to deliver these critical services, ensuring the project's infrastructure met the highest standards.
